The Middlegate Hotel

Family run pub/hotel. Very welcoming and they were very hospitable, they even went out of there way to offer to cook me food even though the restaurant was shut (as we didn’t arrive there till late due to work). They were also very accommodating to my times and needs. I would highly recommend this establishment.

Very friendly, engaged, helpful. Once a week music evening with the participation of many local residents with huge enthusiasm and great atmosphere in the pub. Almost a reason to stay longer.

Peter the owner couldn’t do enough for us. He was frequently checking if we were comfortable, warm enough, or if there was anything more he could do. Peter was also the chef who made us some very nice home-made food, even if it wasn’t on the menu. He went over & above to make our stay special. Thank you Peter.
